When I received my mail yesterday, I wasn't expecting to find ram chips for the original Xbox. They weren't supposed to be in until at least middle of next month. Not complaining though as it means I can go through with installing ram mods to a few of my original Xbox's.
While the image shows 20 ram chips, the rightmost 15 were the only ones that came in yesterday. I had ordered some ram last year to do the mod, but didn't trust the chips I ordered off eBay to be completely reliable. This would have been a major issue, but since I bought more now, I can test if the ram works in one of my test boards.
My goal is to install the ram into 5 different consoles with an emphasis on my 1.0 motherboard that I housed in a clear shell. This is because I also purchased all of the necessary parts to assemble a few lpc serial boards developed by an XboxDev member. With this board, it would be possible to do kernel debugging on the original Xbox. Both of these are kind of important in a development console. This will become a future project at some point in the next month or so.
